A new suite for treble recorder with piano accompaniment, Owl Flight, has been published and is available to purchase. This is the first public release of some of the music written for Oliver Rudland's inspired children's opera, The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark, based on the story by Jill Tomlinson.
Oliver Rudland’s Sinfonietta for Symphony Orchestra is to be performed by the Uttlesford Orchestra in St. Mary's Church, Saffron Walden on the 4th February.
The work will be performed alongside Butterworth's A Shropshire Lad, Holst's Egdon Heath, and Ralph Vaughan Williams' A London Symphony, in a programme dedicated to works by English composers.

The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark, a new children’s opera based on Jill Tomlinson’s much-loved children’s story, which was staged for the first time in Great St. Mary’s Church, Cambridge, on the 26th November 2011, has been well reviewed by 'Seen and Heard International'.
